Enjoy the fresh air in Astoria Park during one of APA’s Saturday Leaf Fest events. Team with up with fellow community volunteers as we rake and collect leaves to be efficiently made into compost that support city-wide trees.

Collected leaves will be composted and eventually return to help enrich the soil of Astoria Park and other NYC Parks.

Meet up at the Field House near the Astoria Park track. 

Astoria Park Alliance will provide gloves, tools, and training. Please come in closed-toe shoes, ready to work outdoors. Tools and gloves will be provided.
